When Paul Sutton (Keanu Reeves) returns from the war, he doesn't expect to meet the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. He certainly doesn't expect to fall in love. On his way home, Paul catches the eye of Victoria (Aitana Sánchez-Gijón), a stunning Latina woman who seems to be in serious distress. When he learns that the woman is pregnant and fears she will be cast off by her strict Mexican father, Paul offers to return home to her family's vineyard and pose as the young woman's husband. What they are not prepared for is how intensely they begin to fall for each other. Their new love, however, clashes with the hatred displayed by Antonio, and eventually the passion (both hot and cold) becomes too much to handle.
