Joe (Chazz Palminteri) has spent his life making ends meet by ripping people off in crooked card games. He also uses loaded dice to win in craps. He is not always proud of his choices but doesn’t know what else to do. One day, his 20 year old son has to come live with him. Joe never had to much to care for his son. Joe Jr. (Tom Guiry) can be hard to handle as he has Down syndrome. On top that Joe Jr. doesn’t have that much affection for his dad as he institutionalized him 12 years ago when his mom abandoned him. Joe decides that he will teach Joe Jr. the business and they leave for Las Vegas where they hope to make a big score. Unfortunately they are no match for the true criminals who lurk there.
